Mammoth Solar Ecosystem
Bringing Heritage Farming Back to Northwest Indiana
Energy Generation, Food Production, Dual Use Farming
Mammoth Solar Projects
Mammoth Solar honors the legacy of farming families who’ve built Pulaski and Starke Counties from the ground up. Together, we’re shaping a future that keeps land productive, families supported, and communities strong, with affordable and reliable energy rooted in the same values that have powered this region for generations.
Farming has always been about working with the land. Today, solar energy helps local landowners do just that; earning steady income while protecting soil, supporting pollinators, and ensuring the land stays in family hands for decades to come.
“Our commitment is to the people who live and work here: the farmers, families, and neighbors who call Northwest Indiana home.”
Project Impact At A Glance
A snapshot of how this project delivers real energy, jobs, and investment for the community.
Jobs & Local Economy
Real impact through employment and economic growth in the local community.
Community Investment
Direct dollars flowing back into local communities over the life of the project.
Energy Capacity
Delivering renewable energy at scale. Powering homes and strengthening local infrastructure.
Mammoth Solar is one of the largest energy complexes in the country; built right here in Pulaski and Starke Counties. When complete, it will generate over 2,245 megawatts (MW) of electricity, enough to power roughly 350,000 homes.
But beyond the numbers, Mammoth is about people:
Powering Progress, Preserving Heritage
Farm families who can keep ownership of their land
Future generations who’ll inherit cleaner air and stronger local economies
Communities that benefit from new jobs and tax revenue
Empower farmers to diversify their land use and revenue stream by participating in dual-use practices
Mammoth Solar is proof that rural Indiana can lead the way in America’s energy future, while staying true to its roots.
Quick Facts:
Solar leasing offers farmers stability in an unpredictable world. It’s a way to stay on the land, keep control, and create predictable income that supports families’ future. With Mammoth Solar, farmers still fully own their property. Partners who choose to do so can continue compatible farming uses like grazing, pollinator habitats, and even certain types of crops. Once the project ends, the land is restored to its original condition, if not better, than before solar.
It’s not about changing what farming means, it’s about ensuring it continues.
